The 'Black-ish' actor Anthony Anderson is married to his high school love Alvina Stewart since 1999. The pair were previously headed towards divorce as Stewart later asked to dismiss her divorce petition.
The pair met each other in high school and started dated after some while. They got married on September 11, 1999, and re together for more than twenty years.

From their twenty-one years of togetherness, the pair have given birth to two children named Kyra Anderson and Nathan Anderson.
Kyra is the firstborn child of the couple as she was born in 1996, before they were even married. She is a studying for Ph.D. at the University of San Diego as she wanted to run non-profits as well as save the world.
Likewise, Nathan was born in 2000 and is a sophomore in high school. He is now following his father's footsteps to become an actor as when he was 8, he told Anderson that he wanted to act and he supported him. Anderson also explained that he won't get every job and prepared him for rejection. When Nathan was 14, he auditioned for 'Black-ish' but couldn't get it because he was too cool to play an awkward kid.
Anderson and Stewart are raising their child by giving all the facilities they can but didn't want to spoil them. Their son and daughter are engaged in community service and chores by their parents.
Trooper Brown from 'The Departed' was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in 2002. After being diagnosed, Anderson realized that he needs to get his life under control and live a healthy lifestyle for his children. Throughout Anderson's journey, his wife Stewart inspired him a lot to do better even to fight diabetes.
After being diagnosed with Diabetes, Stewart became an avid gym rat to help and inspire him said, Anderson. He worked with a nutritionist and lost much weight that the Law & Order team had to change the whole wardrobe for him.
In September 2015, Stewart filed for divorce to Anderson stating 'irreconcilable differences'. She started her actual separation was on April 1, 2014, and also asked for spousal support. Stewart also planned to give reasonable visitation to Anderson to see their children.
Later on January 3, 2017, after some year of filing divorce, Stewart asked the judge to dismiss the divorce proposal. Then in 2019, Anderson and Stewart attended the Emmy Award event together after their disposal of divorce. The pair were seen together posing at the Award where Anderson was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series 'Black-ish' (2014).
After getting together from their separation, the bond between the pair is getting even better. They are going on vacations together in several countries like Ghana, France, Morocco, and so on.
Anderson recently posted a picture together with Stewart wishing her Mother's Day saying 'Happy Mothers Day to the love of my life. The sun may not always shine but with you there’s always light!'.
