Arnetia Walker is an actress and singer best known for her roles in 'For Love of the Game' as Airport Bartender, 'The Wizard of Speed and Time' as Tina Dreem / Running Girl, 'Nurses' as Nurse Annie Roland, and Love Crimes as Maria Johnson.

Walker was born in 1956, in Columbus, Georgia, and later moved on to New York City.  She has also done various stage performances in The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window (1972), the musical The Wiz (1975), and Two Gentlemen of Verona (1971).

Arnetia Walker is married to Elliott Francis, an ABC news anchor and an actor. He has appeared in 'The Practice' (1997) as WXDE Reporter Robert Waterman, 'Once and Again' (1999) as Reporter #1 and 'Ebony/Jet Showcase' (1982) as co-host. The pair are married for several years and are blessed with one child.

One Son: Trevor Francis

Walker and Francis gave birth to one son and named him Trevor Francis. The parents have successfully kept their son's life private away from the limelight as they haven't leaked any information about their son since the day he was born.

Started Her Career Since 1982

The 'College Road Trip' actress made her first movie debut in the movie 'The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas' as Dogette in 1982. Since then, Walker has appeared in more than forty movies, television series, TV movies, and short videos.

She has appeared in several movies like 'Love Crimes' as Maria Johnson, 'Cast a Deadly Spell' as Hypolite Kropotkin, 'College Road Trip' as Grandma Porter, and so on. She is also widely known for her television series 'Popular' as Ms. Ross, 'The Big House' as Tina Cleveland, 'Dynasty' as Luella Culhane, 'Nurses' as Nurse Annie Roland, and many more.

Breakthrough from 'Dreamgirl'

After a few years of her graduation in 1987, she played at the Michael Bennett's hit musical, "Dreamgirls" which was her breakthrough in the acting career and her best stage role. Walker is the only actress who has portrayed all three Supreme-like singing roles on the stage of the musical.

After Dreamgirl she started working with famed choreographer and director, Michael Bennett in Los Angeles national and international theater companies. The 'Max Monroe' actress her act in Dreamgirl took her career to a whole new level.

A Part-Time Student

At the age of 63 in 2019, Walker was continuing her college degree as a part-time student at AU, by taking majors in film and minors in literature. She has been working thee at AU for over seven years because of her busy acting schedule, and is a lot older than her classmates but enjoys her learning from them.

Whenever she isn't attending AU, Walker teaches drama and musical theater to children as well as directs the drama department at the Washington Cathay Future Center. 

Alma Mater: Square Theatre School

Walker attended New York's prestigious High School of the Performing Arts after moving to New York. At the age of 16, while studying in high school, she was cast in a Broadway debut The Sign in Sidney Brustien’s Window by Lorraine Hansberry. She then got enrolled at Circle in the Square Theatre School to learn more acting.
