Later, he remembered that he got into a road accident that was hit by a tipper lorry. The other three-person were his driver, his child, and one of his siblings who had injuries on their heads and faces. He had some arm and neck pain while thanked God that nobody died.
In October 2011, Omidina was arrested for drug dealing and was stopped at the airport as he was going to board. He was suspected of drug trafficking and was run a body scanner on his whole body as the drug was suspected in his stomach.
Omidina was kept in jail for more than three weeks and 25 bowel movements while the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) said he failed to excrete any drugs.
His bail was set at $3,300 and after the hearing at court, his fans continuously cheered him as he left the building. After he was bailed from jail, the court ordered the NDLEA to publish an apology on conspicuous pages in two national newspapers.
Recently in 2019, Omidina went to the US in a wheelchair for his further medical treatment after his health deteriorated. He was suddenly ill which scared his family and fans.
As he was in the hospital for several days, there were rumors of Omidina's death all over the internet after he departed from Nigeria on Sunday, April 21, 2019.
However, the actor denied the rumor saying he is in Rhode Island for treatment. Then on March 16, 2019, he was discharged by the doctors and Omidina safely returned to his home.
