Karl Amani Wailoo better known by his stage name Saukrates is a rapper, singer, and record producer. He is best known for his song 'Strangers', 'Comin Up', from 2 Fast 2 Furious, 'Kingdom Come', and 'It's a Good Day'.

'Anything Goes' singer Saukrates has earned a whopping net worth of $2 million from his varied career as a rapper, singer, and record producer. 

He has accumulated his worth through his label 'Capitol Hill Music', by being the lead singer of hip-hop/R&B group Big Black Lincoln, and through the member of  Redman's Gilla House collective. 

Ex-Girlfriend: Alana Wyatt

Saukrates was previously in a serious relationship with Alana Wyatt, one-time stripper, and the wife of Mos Def. During their relationship, Saukrates was the one who took care of them while Wyatt saw him as one giant ball of assured masculinity. 

Wyatt was obsessed with him and said in her memoir that she had a tattoo of his name on her body. They even gave birth to a child from their relationship.

Has A Son With Alana Wyatt

Saukrates is the father of one son from his previous relationship Alana Wyatt. The name and pictures of the son haven't been public yet as it looks like they wanted to keep it a secret from all. Looking at Saukrates's life it seems like his son doesn't live with him and Wyatt is taking all of the responsibility of their son.

Started His Career Since 1994

'Father Time' singer started his career by releasing his first debut single 'Still Caught Up' in 1994. Since then he has released four studio albums like The Underground Tapes (1999), Heaven's Caught On Fire (with Big Black Lincoln) (2006), Season One (2012), and Season 2 (2017). 

He has also released three Eps Brick House (1997), The Bigg Soxx Versions EP (2010), and Amani (2014). Some of his best songs throughout his career are 'Fineline', 'Enjoy Da Ride', 'On the Run', 'Season One', and so on.

Founder Of Capitol Hill Music

Saukrates is the founder of Capitol Hill Music, a Canadian independent record label that focused on hip-hop and R&B music. The label was found in the mid-1990s by Saukrates and his manager, Chase Parsons. The label has released Kardinal Offishall's debut album, 'Eye & I' in 1997, and after two years they released Saukrates' debut album, The Underground Tapes. 

Then in the 2000s, they produced records for his group Big Black Lincoln, and R&B singer Andreena Mill.

Was Dropped By Two Labels

During his starting phase of career, Saukrates was signed by Warner Bros. Records in 1996, after two years of starting his career. Later, Warner dropped him right before one year of his album 'The Underground Tapes' release in 1998. His album was later released on Capitol Hill. 

This was not the first time Saukrates got left as in 2000, he got a big deal with Def Jam and Gilla House Records, which is owned by Redman. Like the Warner, Def also dropped him off the deal because they said he was no longer considered a priority. 

However, Saukrates remained alongside Gilla House and later he appeared on two tracks of Redman's album 'Red Gone Wild' that was released in March 2017.

His Collaborations

The 'Money or Love' singer first collaborated with Method Man & Redman on the single "A-Yo" from the album Blackout! 2 in 2009. Following the same year, he also collaborated with k-os and Nelly Furtado on the single "I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman" from the album 'Yes!'. 

Then in 2012, he collaborated with Classified and Skratch Bastid in the song "Anything Goes".

Narrator of the Toronto Blue Jays

Saukrates is the narrator of the Toronto Blue Jays for their commercials and documentaries since 2008. He even made a son 'Say I' for the Nike commercial in 2011, featuring  NHL player P. K. Subban. 

In 2018/19 NBA season, Saukrates narrated the season opener preview for the Toronto Raptors that was showed on Sportsnet and also its sequel for the beginning of the 2019 NBA Finals.
